Manual vs Automatical

I have read this forum and I have seen that many ppl say that manual backlinking is good and looks more natural. However, I have seen many threads where ppl say that they do like 10 000 forum backlinks, automatical 2500 article directories and directory submissions. What's the right thing to do then?

Is this true that if you do thousands of profile backlinks then google wont penalize you?

Mix it up, you can't have too many links, and you can't hurt your rankings with links.

Just in case you think you can hurt your links, just think how easy it would be to knock off your competition by linking to them from "bad" neighborhoods. It just can't work that way.

See, Google cannot recognize organic and automated backlinks.

The only way to discover automated backlinks is the duration in which you are getting backlinks.

If you are getting 5K backlinks overnight, that would definitely raise big G's eyebrows.

Instead of getting backlinks automatically, use some software like 'Keyword country' as an aid for finding good and reputed sources for link building.

High quality, manual backlinks ----> Point at your main site.

Lower quality, automated backlinks ----> Point at your backlinks.

If you're going the automated route, this is what most people do. You're building "tiers" of backlinks instead of throwing everything at your main site.
