Just wondering if you guys (the ones that deal with hubpages) seen that your hubs are coming back up? Google did label Hubpages as "content farms" - but seems like lately, that is not the case...at least w/ my hubs...they have popped up to where they were before the rollout back six months ago. What are you guys seeing? |

Remember that Google rates "pages" not "domains." Some pages will rank highly because Google thinks it's good content, others won't. |

So far, the domain level content penalties have been lifted against hubpages.com. But that does not mean hubpages has permanently recovered. A lot of my panda affected websites have recovered only to be re-penalized all over again. Fingers crossed that the panda is more lenient with this update.

Well it seems that they implemented subdomaining around July and after some testing appeared to indicate that it helped the better stuff rise in search visibility.

| haha. I don't blame google for penalizing my sites. They did have low quality content. Just making the point that google temporarily lifts penalties all the time. And when they do, it does not mean that your site is safe. So I'm hoping that hubpages is permanently back from panda, but that's yet to be seen. Also, switching over to subdomains was a smart strategy for hubpages. |

But if you read one of the article in which they said that some of the sites are getting their traffic back...Including hub pages...

It totally depends on the content of your web page has got... I did notice that when Panda was rolled out, Google showed result pages from ezine for short tail queries and that too in the top results. So, I would say that Panda targets pages not domains. |

I'll tell ya, I use hubpages as one of many web 2 properties in my overall linking strategy and lately they have gone bananas in their own right. And today, I was doing some kw research for a new site and there was a hub in spot one for the first keyword, and in spot two for the second keyword. Granted, not a super competitive term, but one hub had 5 backlinks, the other had zero! These may be isolated examples, but I've definitely notice more traffic from hubpages in the last few weeks and have been pondering this very question. |

Look up the "-50 penalty," a penalty that is awarded to domains with low quality content. This penalty causes every single page to be sent down 50 spots in the serps. Of course google ranks pages. But pages are now impacted based on the "authority" of the domain. <---- This has always been the case. But google panda has caused domain authority to be more important than ever before.

Google is penalizing domains; even good domains with fresh and quality content. I wish to be saved by panda |
