Hello warriors, Two months back I started an amazon product review site. Within a month three of my product keywords were on 1st page of google and my main keyword was jumping between 15th to 20th spot. During this period I made my first sale on internet and was getting 20 something visitors everyday. After a month I made few changes which resulted in my being sandboxed or kicked-by-google (still not de-indexed). Please guide me what may be the primary cause as all these took place during same time period. They chronologically happened in this order. 1. I made productreview.php pages using this code <? Header( "HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently" ); Header( "Location: youraffiliatelink dot com" ); ?> for hiding ugly looking affiliate links. 2. I stopped posting new reviews (or content) on my site. Reason:I was totally stuck with my regular job. I know a lame excuse. 3. I outsourced my link building job. Previously I was posting articles on 10 article directories and creating profile links purchased from Angela. When outsourced, My outsourcing guys applied different strategy and submitted articles on SeoLinkVine and other private blog networks. 4. I went from free to nice looking paid theme which forced me to use 301 redirect and transfer all my indexed and well ranking pages to new locations. In that review theme, review pages are automatically built on http: // sitename.com / review / post-title location instead of http: // sitename.com / post-title. 5. one of my outsourcer recommended on-site seo changes. I implemented them. He had told me that making on-page changes sometimes results in dropped rankings but soon you will recover. 6. As he said I am now witnessing the same drop but not recovery. I waited for 2 weeks. I am now ranked 1st beating all big guys on Bing and 7th on Yahoo for my main keyword. But traffic is as good as zero. What did Google feel bad about my site? Please share your insights. Is this a case of sandboxing? and What I can do now to get the same results with Google as I got with Bing and Yahoo? |

Also, it may just be that your site has been indexed by bing and yahoo but not google. Either way, just keep building the links and the traffic should come eventually ![]() Let me know if you have any more questions | |

This is a completely normal scenario. It really depends on your keywords and link building methods which determines what the causes for not ranking in Google are. All I can suggest at this point is to continue building backlinks and ensure they are high quality, and diverse. This will see you ranking in Google in no time. |

YO! From my personal experience, rank your website first..THEN throw in the affiliate links. For some reason Google doesn't like sites cluttered with affiliate links, especially brand new sites. Backlinks! When you build backlinks, you need to create a buffer layer between all of those hundreds to thousands of backlinks that are being pointed directly at your page. Since your site is brand new you can't just throw all of those backlinks (from outsourcing) directly to your brand new website, and then not expect Google to throw red flags and "Sand box" you. I've got a pretty solid strategy that passes the link juice through the buffer layer, and then sky rockets your Google ranking. Here's the link if you want to try out the strategy, I know it will work for you yo! Backlinking cheers! |

You haven't done anything wrong. It's just that similar to humans who have distinct DNA, search engines have their own algorithms. Of them all, Google has the more complex and regularly updated algorithms. Just try to build decent and high quality backlinks.
