Default Moving 40k articles from static to Wordpress need SEO plugin advice

I currently have 40,000+ articles that are in static HTML format and about 5 years old. I am going to move them into wordpress and do 301 redirects from the old names to the new wordpress name. I have done all the programming to take care of those issues.

What I need to know is, if you had a fresh Wordpress install and were going to import a number of articles like this, what plugins would you put into wordpress to help with tagging, meta and on-page SEO? I will have one of the plugins that will find keywords and make keyword links and point at other portions of my site, so that should focus a lot of internal link juice.

My other question is in regards to my XML sitemap, I already have 2 other blogs on the site, plus other content that won't be in Wordpress, should the XML sitemap for these articles be in its wordpress directory, or should I combine all the sitemaps into one big sitemap?

If you are not sure how to take one of my comments or suggestions, please choose the option of most offensive and degrading, as that is clearly what I intended.

All in One SEO Pack is the plugin you need... just look it up on google u will get tone of info and tutorials. I am recommending All in One SEO Pack because you have no prior experience from what I undestand.
As for the sitemap, you would like your urls to be present in the tld level sitemap for best indexation. But honestly, I wouldn't base my strategy on a sitemap, not even if submitted with webmaster tools. Best for indexing is to twitt with urls shorten with goo.gl; it will be indexed in 15-30 minutes.

Hi Amy,
Thanks, I do have lots of experience, and use All in One on several other blogs. Just checking to see if there are any other upper scale options. I really only want to process this monster set of files one time.

My site is crawled by Google daily, so with the 301 redirects from the old articles to the new ones on Wordpress install I should be golden on getting indexed quickly.
