What are cost effective ways to build quality backlinks pointing to thousand inner pages?

What are cost effective ways to build quality backlinks pointing to thousand inner pages?

If I hire someone to write an article and submit to an article directory for $5 (2 urls per article = $2.50/url) and let's say I have 100,000 inner pages, it would cost me $250,000 ($2.50/url * 100,000)!

Are there other better ways?

Maybe you might want to buy a link building software and use it to build links to all the pages you want. I'm sure it would cost much less that $250k.

Before we get in to the link building techniques, let me ask you: how's your site internal linking? I will safely assume that every page NOT aftering their own keywords. But rather your sites aftering only hundreds of keyword, no? If the answer is Yes, please read the following thread by fellow warriors and see if you in the same shoes:

Thanks for pointing to those pages. The first one was started by me, and it discusses the importance of having PROPER INNER linking for your pages and posts. This is tied in with your ON PAGE SEO.

In my experiences, you need to make sure you have some good on page seo done before you start thinking about how to go about doing your off page SEO. GOOD on page SEO will strengthen the work you do off page. Without it, someone can easily come along and sweep that ranking right out from underneath you.

Why not just find out what ones are getting the most traffic and work on building them first, then when they are done you can start on the less important pages.

Thanks everyone for some advices...so far I know blog commenting is most cost effective even if the stick rate is only 20%.
