Default How many keywords will you tackle?

How many keywords will you tackle when starting a new site?

I don't want to take to much on, but i've found about 10 keywords which range from 1000-2000 and aren't to competitive.

The keywords are for products on an Amazon semi-authority site.

In the past, for more competitive keywords, i've managed to get to number 1 with profile link wheels and an AMR blast for each keyword. This would cost me £ and i'm wondering if it's worth the initial investment.

I think i'd get visitors quicker, although there is no guarantee i'd make any decent sales. If I did get to number 1 quicker, I could then just build them naturally.

So is 10 keywords to much without outsourcing and is it worth the initial investment for 10,000 potential visitors?

It would maybe cost a few hundred dollars for the 10 keywords.

Have you tried making videos instead?

You would make 1 video per keyword and submit to YouTube and possibly others. Often much easier to rank and the traffic is usually better pre-sold.

I can't really make videos. I will outsource them in the future though.

In my campaigns I like to stay focused on no more than 2 keywords at a time, then I move on to others. Of course, I start with the most valuable keywords. While doing my campaign I may change the direction according to results or data from Webmaster tools.

Tackle as many as you can. If you can automate or outsource your SEO you can really tackle as many as you like, rather than handling all the backlinking yourself and restricting your potential.

I always say, work on your business, not in it
