I logged into Google adsense the other day, and clicked on my reports. One of my sites that normally gets around 250 vistors a day, showed 0 visits for the last couple days. That was weird, so I went over to analytics to check, and the report showed that the site was getting the normal amount of traffic. So apparently I was getting traffic, but no adsense views. I looked at my site, and the ads were all there. I then logged into my site, wondering what was going on, and clicked on the adsense plugin that I'm using (Adsense Optimizer). At first I didn't notice, but then after a closer look, I saw that there was a different adsense publisher ID! I quickly changed it back to mine, and changed my passwords etc... Has this ever happened to anyone else? |

Most plugins do share the pub-id with the owner of the plugin. Like 10% of the page views go to the owner's pub-id so he gets some money too. That's kind of what you should expect for using free plugins. That's why plugins in the WSO section are so popular. |
