I wouldn't start doing the aftermath assessment just yet. The last few times there was major SERP movement like this, there were a few waves and then things settled differently then they were a day or two after it all started.
The major changes hit Friday, its not uncommon for peeling back to happen after the weekend. Think of it as Organizing a deck of cards or something. The main things have been put in place now everything else has to be reorganized. For example I have 1 of my major sites went from #2 to #20 then this morning was #11. Mind you this site was #2 for ages. I would wait a few more days until we really know what happened.
