Stuck in Yahoo and Google

I am doing contentious PR2+ backlinking for my project.There is no progress for few months they are still in the same position in Google and Yahoo. Any idea to get it free from current position and take it further.

Are you mixing your link building ? try some social bookmarking and press releases. Are these links getting indexed?

Try and get some variety into the backlinks and make sure they are getting indexed. Check the Open Site Explorer if you want to get a good idea of what is indexed (their index can be up to a month old though).
