i checked all the charts and nothing came up the same as your photo.. it was looking like only 1 or 2 people have been to your site.. but to your question on understanding the charts its data collected from search engines not too accurate by the way or aleast for me its not..

Hi man, Alexa is a toolbar based ranking system. I think it's apart of amazon or something. What it does it counts the hits from users that have the alexa or partner toolbar on them. Depending on that data it pulls up a popularity score/rank.

In alexa, the lower is better. Such as digg.com has a rank of anywhere like 300-200.

It calculates 3 months average traffic data and pulls up a number, like 292,578 for your site.

The data shows that the site received a spike from Sep to mid Oct. Probably the time of the auction.

It also shows a percent of national audiences. I hope this helps, thanks.

Thanks but what mean 100 000 and 60 000? the visits? also 292,578 is a good rank for one month.

Those numbers mean if your site ranks at 100,000, There are 99,999 sites ahead of yours in the line to the number one position.

Yes and it certainly does not gives away the amount of traffic. It will give you the avg rank of last 3 months. Anyways, don't worry too much on this and look for getting your new site up and running.

Firstly, Alexa Ranking is useless as a metric, because it's toolbar based. This means that their data is skewed because it's based on user analytics rather than actual web site analytics.

At best, it will demonstrate some movement for new sites, but is not a authoritative metric to rely on when purchasing sites or as proof of SEO expertise.

Here's an example of a good rank on one of my sites:

Incansoft.com Site Info

Here's an example of an even better rank:

Warriorforum.com Site Info

When you get into the top 100 or so sites, the ranking is obvious anyways, i.e.; Google, Facebook, etc., but their is also a lot of duplication - Google listing by country and so forth.

Alexa charts for this website says your website got high hits up as far as traffic and went down.

Based on what i say, your website ranking up probably was done by fake hits (change 100,000) in one month is almost impossible to achieve. Unless it was relay 100% on search engine and you got kicked out of there.

I would say Alexa may start suspect your website since the jumps ups and down doesn't make sense.

Try to work on your website and avoid faked visitors

Basically an Alexa ranking is not important. Having a high or low Alexa ranking does not help a site one bit, unless you want to use it to impress people who are impressed by this sort of thing, but do not understand it.
Alexa have a toolbar that can be installed in web browsers. Alexa collects data on the sites that users of the toolbar visit to rank sites based on the traffic to them. They do combine this with some other data, that they have not specified, when they do give a rank to a site. Millions of users have the toolbar installed. A low Alexa ranking means that a site has more visitors from those with the toolbar installed. They do publish the rankings of sites.
The whole concept of an Alexa ranking is flawed because:
Even though a few million people may have the toolbar installed, those who have the toolbar installed, are more likely to be technologically savvy and more likely to be webmasters interested in their Alexa ranking. This means that the sites that these people tend to visit are more likely to have a higher Alexa ranking.
The best way to improve an Alexa ranking is to install the toolbar and just visit your own site a few times a day (and even better if you can get a friend to do the same) and then watch the big improvement in the site’s Alexa ranking. Make sure you do not visit your competitors site, as just visiting them will improve their ranking! This makes a mockery of the Alexa rankings.
The Only thing Alexa helps is when I want to sell a website as more visitors means more Money!!
There are several tools that can help you get low alexa and if your alexa ranking gets below 1,00,000 then its considered really good .. :-)
