FREE backlinks tools

Thought it might be helpful for some newbies like myself and also to maybe some other fellow marketers to list some sources of free backlinks. I will start off with some of the ones I use.

anybody have any more to add? Also feel free to state what you like or do not like about certain free backlink sites.

ping.fm is class - I've used it with in the past linking all my social sites like FB/twitter etc to it.

My site had timed posts and once they posted a WP plugin sent it to Ping and ping sent it to the world

Anybody ever use freebacklinktool dotcom? says it gives you quite a few backlinks and even pings them. Just curious if anyone has tried it and had success with it.

Are you serious man?
Pinging has nothing to do with building backlinks, why will you do that
?

For the OP , thanks for sharing those. I think if you can go an extra step, then create a .exe ebook out of your site pages and submit it to software directories with a pad submitter. See your rankings rise like crazy.

If you don't want a negative effect just pace yourself when using these tools. It should be a regular part of your backlinking strategy. Even if there is a short term negative effectyour site will come back stronger.
