What the...why is my Privacy page ranked?

Hey all -I'm putting up a couple of sites and worked really hard to do the onpage SEO correct...and did all the offpage SEO slowly etc. and still in that process, but why the heck is my Privacy Policy outranking any of my other pages on my site?

No - it's not because I have my kw phrase listed more there, so what is that all about? Anyone with some insight?

Google (and the other search engines by now) find your privacy page to be the most important page. It acts as your "disclosure" page and might even be ranked slightly higher than your TOS.

The way I see it you've got two options.

(1) Put a link prominently on your Privary page leading to your product

(2) Add a nofollow to your robots.txt file (do a google search for robots file generator if you don't know how to create a robots.txt file)

That's temporary. Keep working on it and your money pages woll rank and the privacy policy will dissappear

It happens to me as well. I used to put noindex and nofollow but then thought, what the heck. Ranking is ranking and as mentioned above, your other pages will rank as you do your on and off page seo.

It has recently been announced that Google is putting a price on your privacy. see full info at Google Puts Price on your Privacy

Also, one question, how do you determine Page Rank of individual web pages in Google?
