Default Help Identify Which Types of Sites Were Most Impacted by Panda

Hello all...

If you were NEGATIVELY impacted by the latest Panda run, choose which type of site was affected. You may choose more than one if you own multiple sites that were affected.

The choices are below.

Amazon Site with Cloaked Links
Site contains only cloaked Amazon affiliate links (Amazon-only, no other affiliates)

Amazon Site with Un-cloaked Links
Site contains only uncloaked Amazon affiliate links (Amazon-only, no other affiliates)

Other Affiliate Site with Un-cloaked Links
Site contains only uncloaked affiliate links (affiliates other than Amazon)

Other Affiliate Site with cloaked Links
Site contains only cloaked affiliate links (affiliates other than Amazon)

Non-Affiliate site (informational site)
Site contains no affiliate links and no AdSense

AdSense Site
Site contains no affiliate links

I voted amazon uncloaked, but it was my long-tail traffic which vanished

That's OK. I'm using this specific poll to identify specific site types. Once I have enough data on site types affected, I'll start looking at poll data on content-type and such.

I am very curious to see the site pattern which causes some guys long tail traffic to vanish, this traffic is sometimes half your traffic.

Why do guys think some guys lost all their long tail traffic? and some did not?

I'm hoping this poll STARTS to reveal possibilities. There is more data that will be required to piece it together better but I figured this is a start. Hopefully, the poll receives lots of responses.

Wow. 8 responses? Kinda surprising with so many complaining about panda. I thought this would have been overwhelmed with votes.

Since u aren't the one running the poll nor do u know what I'm doing with the data, I'm not sure how u could possibly come to such a conclusion.

People love to complain but never use that energy to figure out solutions. Just random Omg my site vanished when being more specific would benefit them.

Exactly. I figured with so many people freaking out, I'd see an onslaught of replies. Once I have enough data from this poll, I'm hoping to get other ones out there regarding content, links, etc.

With some luck, some sort of picture will emerge. At a minimum, we will have some concrete data to look at from which we can form our own opinions.

This poll is useless. i have several sites using same technique(theme, link cloak, 800 original content with pictures), some get higher rank but some droped rank. All use same link building strategies. All are clickbank affiliate sites. Just different niche related. The Oct. 13th update is rediculous.

I voted adsense, but ALL of my adsense sites use the same link building profile and the rest were unaffected. The difference was that most of my traffic from this particular site came from long tails, where the others did not.

Crazy drunken panda.

It's a good initiative but I have a mixture of sites.

2 are cloaked affiliate link sites (both hit by Panda)

1 is Adsense (Hit by Panda)

6 are affiliate only (not hit)

The oldest and better sites got hit. The younger sites have been doing fine, but they are new and had little traffic before anyway.

My sites are full of original content and don't overload on the links.

People are saying more and more it's long tail pages that got hit.
