Default Does anyone on here use BMR to build back links to squid lens etc?

I'm not even sure if BMR allows it, but seems like a pretty good idea... Anyone doing it?

Yes. BMR allows you to build backlinks to Squidoo lens.

If you want rank for your webpages my not earn it through "Good content Merit" instead of buying links............if you provide awesome content that goes viral, people will link to your webpage. You'll never have to worry about "how to get links and webpage rank" ever again.

In 6 months you'll be on this forum asking why you can't find your website in the SERPS. Just bookmark this thread that way you can come back to it for your answers.

Not trying to bash you but your approach is unethical and not recommended.
If using BMR is unethical, doesn't that mean regular blog commenting by putting your websites URL is unethical also? As BMR posts your articles on blogs.

The only difference is with BMR, is that your paying to be able to post on their blogs.

Writing and publishing blog posts with links back to your site isn't unethical.

Besides that, I dont sit around and wait for the back link fairy.

Back link fairy, hah!

I do BMD treatments on my Squidoo pages, haven't tried BMR yet. I can't say for certain, but BMR may drive traffic with a higher chance of converting to your lens.

I notice a spike in traffic to my lenses after a BMD run, but it's hard to determine the quality of that traffic.

When building links on a "private" network like BMR, you aren't doing it to get traffic from that network. You are doing it to increase your Google rankings and get traffic from Google it self.

Amen, sounds like the strategy behind using BMD as well.

I'm not concerned about traffic as much as I am about SERP's for the keywords.

It doesn't matter how great your content is if no one is going to be able to see it.

With BMR you are not "buying" links, you are buying access to a private blog network where you post blog posts. These blog posts can have up to 1 link / 150 words that point to your site.

There is nothing unethical about it.

Your "viral" plan doesn't work with every niche out there, and it is NEVER as simple as that. To be honest, it is easier to get organic listings than to get viral traffic.

I haven't used it for squidoo but I have used bmr for article directories as well as press releases I've had published and it has helped both the web 2.0 properties as well as the site itself. They allow for you to do that.

Jason was just asking a simple question. He wasn't looking for your views on linkbuilding.

I think hijacking threads for your own self-serving purposes is way more unethical than anything Jason is doing.

DUDE! You can't judge these link buyers unless you try it for yourself. If we have no time to build links by ourselves, it's where we outsource it to others through buying links. Have you tried one yet?

Oh btw, "ORANIC SEARCH LISTINGS"? What's ORANIC huh?

So what you're saying is: You're paying to post on other peoples blogs? Is that correct?

I don't care how you spin doctor it, you're paying for links.

I've been building websites since 2006 using the exact process I've been posting about. I know for a fact that it works way better then any LINK BUYING SERVICE.

Be it viral or organic, It doesn't take away from what you're doing. Do you even understand what viral means? Viral is not always about becoming MASSIVELY SUCCESFUL.

If 25 webmasters link to damn good content on your website, that's going viral on a small scale, hence the end results are getting ORANIC SEARCH LISTINGS as a result of your webpage being viewed as important, relevant and well themed. That's how you get back links and top search rankings, in addition to other things. Eliminating then need to PAY FOR LINKS, Paid Blog networks or whatever you'd like to call it.

You guys will be using a new service 6 months from now after this one loses it's effectiveness and 12 months from now, another new service. Dogs chaising their tails. Losing mans game. you can't win.

You're buying links pal!

I'm finished with this.

It's not worth arguing dude.

I'm very comfortable with link building and using high quality blog networks to do it.

Some guy who I've never heard of with zero authority in the seo community isn't going to change my mind about it.

Show me ONE WORTHWHILE keyword that you rank for using this strategy...

To the OP, don't waste time pointing your BMR posts at a squidoo lens. Point them straight to your money site - use the squidoo lens to get another link to your site and send any low level spam links at the squidoo lens.

Squidoo (and Hubpages) are a great way to quickly test new markets and products. Last Christmas I used Hubs and BMR links (exclusively) to get some in demand products ranked fast, really fast. I didn't have the time to wait for a new domain to age so it was a good compromise.

My thought was that I could borrow the authority of squidoo to rank a lens at #1 instead of build out a whole new site in the niche I'm testing.

Don't think that's an ok idea?

...yeah my thoughts exactly on the first thing you said. Try to rank a commercial keyword like that and watch tumble weeds roll across your site.

Short answer - yes. Is it a good idea IMO? No, I don't use Web 2.0 properties for anything other than links. I will never let my income source be be at the mercy of something I don't own. If your lens/account get's nuked than there goes your income.

If you want to make things easier on yourself then just buy an aged domain with PR already, not hard to find one for 30 - 40 $.
