I want to share with you some strategies to get great backlinks from blog comments. First don't ever spam any blog. Second, don't ever us any software to automatically post comments this way you will be identified as spammer and your email and link will tagged as spam. So what to do to get good backlinks from blog commenting? First let's see how we can find some good related blogs. The best strategy to find good dofollow blogs is by stealing what other webmasters has done. Find out what blogs do your competitor use they already found some blogs to comment and you can use the same blogs. Go to Google and search for your main keyword, and find one or more urls that rank high on google for your term (PR3 and higher) Get the url Go to a bcklink checker that you have or backlinkwatch.com inter the link of your competitor then see what other sites are linking to him. backlinkwatch.com will give you 1000 pages that links to the URL you inserted in the tool and for sure you can find some great blogs in those 1000 pages, the tool also give you the anchor text that links to the site and the flag (nofollow) if there is no flag that mean the link is dofollow. By visiting those blogs , look in the sidebar, some blogs allow you to exchange links from blogroll (it's great try it). But most important see if there is a (top commenter) section or (recent comment) section that section will give you a site wide links if you get in them. For example if the blog have a recent comment section, start commenting, bookmark and always be one of the latest 5 or 10 depend on the blog. This way you can be in the section all the time and you will get a site wide backlinks other than the links from your own comments. The same with top commenter. You can also use this search term with google to find edu or any specific blogs site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” “insert your keyword here” Other great commenting strategy is to use the premium commentluv plugin in your own blog. Read about this plugin here Add Comment, New wp plugin comment luv premium And then find other blogs that uses commentluv plug in and comment to on those blogs. Blogs that uses this plugin are dofollow blogs that will give you 2 backlinks in each comment, one to your main blog and another to your latest post. You can find blogs that uses commentluv plugin by searching on google for "commentluv is enabled" your keyword |

I have observed that CommentLuv is catching on, but on the other hand I’ve also noticed that KeywordLuv is taking a bit longer. CommentLuv and KeywordLuv are great plugins to attract new commenters and for sites to get backlinks.

A lot of this can be automated with Scrapebox. If you can swing the $57, it's worth it for the harvesting features alone. Also, for anyone having a low success rate, check the blog homepage first. Make sure there's at least a few recent posts. (From the month that you're checking.) Also look to see if any of the posts within the last few months have comments. If so, then you know the moderator is actively approving comments. If it's a high PR blog, make a comment on a recent post. Make sure it's approved. If it is, then you can save the blog for future commenting. (Your success rate on the posts with PR will be MUCH higher if the owner has already approved one or two comments from you.) Too many people make the mistake of going straight for the posts with PR. Spend a minute or two to build a relationship with the blog owner and THEN you can comment on their older posts with PR. |
