Ranking Images

What determines how highly ranked an image is? I'm asking this because I have a blog, nothing special about it, but I have an image that's ranked at number one, beating a lot of decent sites. I can't work out why though?

Sometimes this just happens, usually though it helps to have an optimized image name, title and alt on your site which are your keyword or vaiations of that.

It mght also depend on how popular your site is and how many people click on your image.
