Default MUST-HAVE Software For Beginners?

I am aiming this post at EXPERIENCED marketers. I do not want to get recommendations from people who don't have adequate experience and use techniques that could potentially get my sites banned. I value all feedback, but I just don't want any potentially harmful advice.

The goal here is to own a number of domains that all rank well and bring in the maximum amount of Adsense revenue.

With that being said, which software packages do you consider to be MUST-HAVES for all successful internet marketers? Please list and explain why.

*I currently own SEO Spyglass to monitor my backlinks. I am outsourcing my backlink creation to a WF Member for 100 links/day at $10/month.

I suggest Article Marketing Robot and Senuke X will be great investments for you, and it's truly recommended for all internet marketers. These two softwares are gonna build you quality links over and over again. I'm sure you will never be disappointed with these ones.

'Must have' makes it a hard one. It really depends on what your strategies are. Successful internet markets all have different strategies.

The biggest "must have" is a good keyword research tool, whatever one you choose. Personally, my starting point was Market Samurai, and it is the only one I still use. That said, MS is junk by today's standards and there are better options out there, like Micro Niche Finder. SEO Spyglass is up there as a must have as well.

I would personally recommend scrapebox - and not specifically for linkbuilding, Off the top of my head I can say that being able to scrape sites of any kind with it is a feature that is pretty priceless IMO.

I also agree with what JimmyR has said, a good keyword tool research tool is going to come in handy (though I still recommend learning how to do kw research without any tool), I have been using MNF for years now and it still works great for me.

Oh, and a great article spinner like spinchimp is always a great addition to your arsenal as well!

The question is what is your strategy? Are you more on offpage or you also consider onpage factors? Personally, Scrapebox and Senuke X are my buddies. Incredibly powerful pieces of software.

Se-Nuke and AM-Robot are good software for beginners. You can make blast of back-links by these two software and also quality back-links if you use good content.

I disagree. That's the point. Automation will make newbies' lives easier. Senuke X and Scrapebox are perfect for beginners.

Ah of course, scrapebox as well. Although for a beginner they might struggle with what the hell to do with it.

Cheers for the free plug, loving it

I've heard that Scrapebox is potentially harmful because it utilizes a lot of spamming techniques. Is there truth to this? I don't want to get my site banned.

Yes, it can be used to VERY easily build thousands of junk backlinks. However, most experienced users don't even use that feature. (At least, not on their money sites.)

Scrapebox is the ultimate Swiss Army knife type of tool. I use it on a daily basis for harvesting search results, analyzing other sites, running mass PR checks, cleaning proxy lists, reverse engineering the competition, etc.

SocialMonkee because it's free, gets your pages indexed quickly, gives some variety in the type of backlinks and even provides some ranking power.

i certainly would never recommened senukex to a beginner......
scrape box? xrumer? these programs all have a huge learning curve and a begginer should be learning how to link build before trying these programs, without proxies and captcha solving services, these other services are going to be useless. telling a newbie to use scrapebox or senukex is not a good idea. its just going to get them overwhelmed.

My advice, stay away from xrumer, scrapebox, senuke, rankbuilder adn anyother automated programs,

4 must have tools, google keyword tool. roboforms, myspeed, wptwin.

learn wordpress first of all, no matter what you do, this is the first step. if you already know wordpress, your good to go, otherwise, find a program like wordpress classroom, once you learn wordpress, find a good coaching program, the best one i can think of right now for affiliate marketing, is by aidan booth and brian johnson. its called rank and pillage. I think it got an award "affiliate marketing course of the year"

or get on board with either charles kirkland and or keith doughtery, they have some good coaching courses,

you will learn more one on one in a personal coaching program with live webinars, than you will ever learn from a regular course.

there are a lot of really really good tools and software outher, but for a beginner there is only a few required tools everything else should be learned via a coaching program, not a course.

I would reccomend you stop paying the WF member to build you backlinks, if they are building 100 links per day for just $10 per month then they are rubbish links and will likely in time do you more harm then good.

You will be better of using odesk or Freelancer and paying a bit more for some decent links!

As for the Tools if you have some money to spend then by far the best Tools are from SEOmoz.

If your looking for some free tools then I have made a list of the free Tools I use here:

Well...You must have either Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, or another browser...

You must have Apple OS, Microsoft OS, Google Android, Linux, or another OS for the aforementioned browsers to run on.

After that, you could get by with Google's Adwords Keyword Tool and your brain...

I highly recommend Market Samurai. I enjoy using Microsoft Live Writer. Comment Kahuna comes in handy. My Incansoft products help out and save me time....but are any of those essential? Not at all.

If you are talking about link building software, in order of preference:
  1. sick submitter
  2. article marketing robot
Sick submitter will post to a lot of different platforms, though you have to buy "packets" in the forum to do this. But, it has a low monthly price and can get you a load of diversity.

Article Marketng Robot is another good option for article sites, does a lot of platforms at a reasonable one off price (there is a WSO for that).

Scrapebox is great for analysis but I dont use it for posting comments automatically. It can however be used to reverse engineer other sites / find high value pages on which to place manual comments. Pretty essential IMO.

A spinner like "The Best Spinner" or "SpinnerChief" will be required for sick and AMR though, so you need to budget for that.

A good service (not software) is BuildMyRank, a blog posting network that gets decent results.

I don't think you should be focusing too much on software to achieve search engine rankings. There are certain tasks that should never be automated, such as blog and forum posts, because your contribution should add to the content, not be some vague generalisation in the hope of achieving easy backlinks.
