Default Using RSS Feeds...

Can anyone clear up the confusion that sorta surrounds the use of RSS feeds for SEO and content marketing?

I mean, i get how RSS feeds work, but people always talk about "mashing" your feeds and creating "multiple rss feeds," promoting pages and posts with rss feeds, setting up auto-rss feeds from social networks and other content web 2.0 properties...

It is like that one thing that i have yet to implement into my SEO toolbox, and would really really be greatful if someone could wrap it up and share some advanced uses.

I would be very very greatful!

Hi,

You can create RSS channels including URLs of your posts or backlinks with tools like rss.icerocket.com, hostmyrss or bulkping.

Then, you can submit these RSS feeds to RSS directories like feedage, feedagg, rssmountain, etc.

In addition, you can use services like onlywire, ping.fm, twitterfeed... to auto-submit RSS feed updates to several social networks.

This is a way to use RSS feeds to make your backlinks more powerful.
