Local Competitors Beating me google map

When I type Die Casting Company in google it shows the nearest die casting companies and mine is probably 3-4th from the top. I was wondering how does one go about being on the very top of local search??? One above me does not even have a company website could it be because of the address only?

Here's the deal.

Make sure every field is complete in you maps profile. This includes picture and videos. In fact - I always go to the max on mine. I believe it asks up to 10 pics and 5 vids. Make sure you have all 10 and 5 of them.

Also - make sure you include your town or city in the description. That is a must.

Last but not least - go to other sites such as Yelp and other LOCAL directories and get your website registered there. Also make sure you have a couple customers that can review your work and post it on local directories (Yelp, American Towns etc).
