Not to spoil your fun, but I too have had site go from the depths of hell, and magically skyrocket to the #1 or #2 position, and while I sincerely hope your's sticks there, in my experience my sites were doing the "G" shuffle... or "dance" as many call it. For whatever reason, my sites often shoot to the top, then about a month later they fade back to page #2 to Page #4 for some reason. In looking at the backlinks of the competition, I often questioned; "How I got ranked so high to begin with?" There were often 'better' sites, and I will openly admit; I didn't deserve to outrank them. Hence, the "G" dance. While I still apply 'some' attention to the SERP's (*more for entertainment than concern) - I stopped worrying about it too much and just started focusing on quality content, and getting quality links and targeted traffic. All the Best, Art |

Well this happens to me. It depends upon the keyword competition and the age of domains. One of my websites still at the first page but I hardly work for those keywords.

New(ish) sites can reach the top of the search results for unknown reasons, then fall back down to earth. This has been pretty common for as long as I've been developing sites. Keep creating good content & backlinks and you'll stick. |

It happens, but it can also plummet to page 2 or lower just as fast. Make sure to build links and content steadily and you should be fine.

This is usually called the "honeymoon" period. Google often give a little boost to new sites in the early stages of the sites and then evaluate after a few days or weeks. It is then that you settle down in your rankings.

Boom Baby.. Well that's good to hear from you. But is this so soon for your site? Sounds unbelievable. But kinda miracle. LOL

To OP: same thing happened to me - from zero to 4th. After a while my post started going down but I put it right back up there with constant backlink building (mostly blog comments, article submissions, and my own aged web 2.0s) , social media and forums posting. You can do it!

I'm also watching a similar case here..on the keyword android apps..A new site androidapps.in has got PR1 in very much little time with having 8 backlinks and 150 pages indexed but what I predict to be the future that it will soon get lost into this google dance bcz his competitors are some of the big monsters of google..

I would like to know how this happened. Cause I would like to copy the same format. As long as it sticks anyways.

If your website are having low bounce rate better than the other competing sites, then there is a big change that it will stick on top.
