Anybody else using it? The site seems to be gone, even the listing in Google doesn't connect. I have some plugins that needs it to run. Anybody have any info on it?

Hey,

I just Googled and it seems as though decaptcha is causing problems with other software that relies on it.

Have you considered using deathbycaptcha?

That's what I've used before and I've never had any problems.

Hi thanks but the plugin I'm using only uses decapture, I wish it did use deathbycaptcha it's cheaper

strange error message though.

Hmmm...

Maybe they are having temporary problems... It's hard to tell really.

What is the plugin you're using? Is there a similar one on the market that using deathbycaptcha? Maybe you can find an alternative until decaptcha is fixed.

Try http://decaptcher-reloaded.com.

They've gone down before and this is the mirror site they setup.

When you login, they list several other domains you can use to access their api, I just chose one of those and all is working.

Thanks for the update, if it's happened before I guess I can try waiting it out. I'm not sure what happens with the plugin since I can't point to a different url, I just disabled it for now.

Heyyy I am Using Decaptcher With Some of my Link building tool ..and It works Correctly...

Please Use it...I think you First Check it for its Server..and It shows that it is not Connect..

But in Real it is Correct..

So Go for it No problem at all..

Yes, the alternate site settings definitely do the work.

Just log-in and use the http and api settings there.

Just FYI:

If a software / application only supports DeCaptcher... you can totally use it with our service using our DeCaptcher API

. Just click on the API section on DeathByCaptcha for more details.

As to why they changed it????

I contacted their administrators and they said de-captcher services will still be up and running. They were referring to the domain decaptcher.com when they meant it will be obsolete. Hope this clarifies.

All of these sites seem to be down?? any thoughts? I have searched the net and there is nothing to be found. I have a balance I just hope its going to work when I run SEnuke and AMR. I also need to add more funds. Might need to switch if this continues.

I think my Decaptcher account got compromised at some point. One day I couldn't log in and there was no way to reset my password.

Anyway, buy Captcha Sniper instead. Much cheaper in the long run.

The problem is Captcha Sniper doesn't do Recaptcha. And that's what most websites are using nowadays.

True, but depending on what software you're using you can use both.

For example, with AMR Captcha Sniper does most of it and then my Death By Captcha account does whatever ones Captcha Sniper can't do automatically.

I use decaptcha, been having mixed results. I also own Social Anarchy
but for some reason it won't take my decaptcha login info.

Overall it's well worth the investment, especially if your using any
automated/account creation type of software.

Deathbycaptcha - biggest piece of crap lately (last month or so). Moved away from them completely for the time being. If accuracy and long response times don't bother you - they're a decent provider.

edit: seriously some of my blasts take 2-3x longer when using DBC, lol. Such a slow response time + accuracy is way under the 95% claimed. More like 80%(ish).

decaptcher "moved to a new location" quite some time ago. Their site said to contact them via Twitter to get the "new location" - which I did, but they never replied.

I use www.deathbycaptcha.com now

I noticed something was off too.

I just went to de-captcher.com and it is certainly is the same service because I was able to login using the same ID / Password as I did at decaptcher.com... and they've got my account balance noted correctly too.

So all is good. :-)
