Make the contents of your main page interesting so that visitors my browse other pages too. Your landing page or main page should have minimum ads and uality contents. All your posts must be relevant to the niche and website title/theme. It will make your visitors visit your other pages and stay longer on your site.

If you really are going to moderate a professional forum, there are lots of things to name in here which can be useful to follow. I just looked at your homepage and can say that the fonts are a bit too small as standard forums have fonts and written styles which are appealing and logically big so that readers find the contents pretty easily. The next thing is that your forum is just brand new and needs time to flourish.

You know, in almost all main niches, there are top ranking forums which are professionally moderated by expert admins and already known among thousands of people from all over the world. You need to be patient for some time, spread the word about your forum so that the interested readers pay a direct visit to your homepage and then decide to sign up. Maintenance of a forum is something which needs to be done in the course of time as you need to create a great community online.

Hey,

A high bounce rate suggests that your visitors don't find your site relavent to what they searched for (if you traffic is coming from organic search). Have a look at where your visitors are coming from and make sure that your contents is relavent.

On a side note, the Google ad in the top area of your blog isn't aligned properly and makes the website look quite amatuer. Other than that, your theme is relavent and looks good.

Change the ad at the top to a smaller ad (half banner) and blend it properly with your theme link you've done with the square ad below it.

Also, a decent catchy headline might get visitors' attention. This should improve things slightly.

Hope that helps!

Thanks
Eleanor
