does it matter for ranking if it is www.domain.com or domain.com ?

You should use one or the other. Especially for backlinks to be valuable.

| www.domain.com domain.com YOu need to pick just one and stay consistent. Google treats those as two different pages. so if you chose www.domain.com and you build links using domain.com then www.domain.com will receive less backlink credit. But if you build backlinks with www.domain.com(the domain structure you chose) then your domain will receive the full backlink credit. Hope that helps Mike |

Hey, I've heard that pages without the www. are ranked better in Google but I've yet to see anything that proves this in my own work. Like others have said, keep consistent throughout your link building and promotional work and you shouldn't have any issues ranking either the www. version or the one without. Thanks Eleanor |
