Hello ! One of my friend said domains with .ws or .me or others can't take #1 ranking in Google. Only .com , .net , .org & .info can take. Is it true or not ?  |

Hey, It's true that .com, .net and .org are easier to get to the #1 spot on Google because they are what we call Top Level Domains and Google places importance on them above other extensions. However, that doesn't mean that .ws, .me or .info can't get #1 rankings - I think providing your content and backlinks are better than other sites, you should be able to get a decent ranking. However, I wouldn't recommend a .ws or .me domain unless you really have to get one. If you're exploring these options because you can't find an exact match domain then consider using stop words within the domain so that you can still get a Top Level Domain. I have never seen a .me domain in the #1 spot. However, I have seen a .me in the #3 position for a VERY, VERY high competition / search volume keyword. In fact, I am currently in the process of trying to outrank it as we speak. The .me domain is an EMD, but I have a keyword domain with a "postfix" modifier. The .me site has TONS of backlinks, which is probably why it was able to get so high. |

I have seen many high ranking .me and .ws domain, but a .com or .net is definitely better for SEO purposes in most cases

.ws is just crap and cost as much as a .com, .me can actually rank but you gotta do hard core SEO on it. always bets to buy a .com .net .org with stopword on it. I own a couple like that and got #1 rankings.
