Hi everybody I heard that links using like baners with keyword "birds" in alt tag: Are about 20% more powerfull than regular text link for phrase: birds It`s because of spammers are not using images for backlinking. What do You think about this theory ? I experienced that images links actually give more fuel to my sites. Waiting for Your opinions |

I have just changed a load of good image links from the alt tag being URL to the alt tag being Keyword. That was yesterday so I will let you know if it has any impact in the next few days.

I`m sure there will be big impact, but my question is - image link with kw in alt is better than anchor text link. But still, I`m waiting for Your results |

Yes and no, depends on what scale. vcars are a direct competitor to my clients site: http:// www. vcars.co.uk/used-cars/used-vauxhall-corsa.php The main keyword for that page is "vauxhall corsa" View their backlink and see how these guys do SEO. http://www . lynnnews.co.uk/ Bonus points for whoever can find the "link". Back to the question, I reckon a normal text link on a strong page is better than an image alt on the same page because Google spider primarily scans texts and probably places more weight to that than an image. Could be wrong but that's my belief But you can see the clever example above by getting sitewide image links. I say do both. A link is a link is a link. Vary your link profile and you'll be safe in Google. Cool cool |
