Default search engine position tracker

A long time ago I found a search engine position tracker tool somewhere. Some kind of desktop utility that can monitor the search engine position for a given URL and several keywords.

BUT:
I forgot the name of it.

I only know it was either free or cheap.

Can somebody here help me out with this?

I know that seobook.com has a toolbar that does it for free. Also, a ton of people seem to be using Rank Tracker by Link-Assistant.com but I haven't personally tried it out. Hope that helps

Send me a PM I am in the process of setting up a service to track Google PR, Number of indexed pages in Google/Yahoo/Bing number of back links and position in serps for keywords, then track them over time and graphing the data.

Looking for beta testers so perhaps that would suit your needs?

I bet you were thinking about Rankerizer.com.

I use it, but when I started to cross check it with SEOBook and also manually I found that alot of the time the Google and Yahoo results were completely wrong (although Bing results matched exactly with SEOBook).

I currently have a support ticket lodged including evidence as to the faulty Rankerizer results - hopefully I get a response (although you never know with support for free products).

Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for...........

I prefer to use seoquake for checking serps. It's a plugin, not a desktop tool, but i've found it very useful, hope all its bugs will be fixed soon.

Are you talking about this Position Checker Tool? It is free and comes with a toolbar utility. You can find a site's position in US, UK and Canada.

Have you tried seoserp.com? Though I think it's a very common online tool, it's quite useful.
