I bought market samarai about a month ago after reading good reviews on the this forum. Problem is, whenever I use the golden rules or any pre-defined filter, ms filters out everything but my original keyword. I've watched every training video and even contacted support. They told me there are very competitive keywords out there and this may happen. I've even tried using the keywords in the various videos like "dog training" and "flower pot" as a test and it still filters out all 800 keywords. I want to use the filters, it's necessary and after spending 97 beans on it I want it to work. You guys have been using samurai for a long time - please tell me you have some good keywords left after going through the golden rules filter or is there something I'm doing wrong? I mean it should be pretty straightforward using the filters. Thanks, Paul |

Hi Paul, Using keywords like "dog training" is never going to return any results that don't get filtered because it's so competitive. You probably need to consider using your own custom filters - start by applying "No Filter" and then have a look at the results and consider what you think are appropriate filters AFTER you've actually looked at the results. I usually go for 1000+ searches and less than 1,000,000 results just to have a look at what's available... then you whittle it down even more by adjusting the competition based on the results you have. You might also want to use much more specific keywords - i.e. choose the option that allows you to limit the results to keyphrases with 3 or more words. I very rarely (if ever) use the filters supplied with MS - unless I'm targeting something EXTREMELY niche specific. Hope that helps Thanks Eleanor |

Personally i dont like to filter anything I turn off all the filters I want to view all the results and I WILL DECIDE what I want to see besides filtering by SEOC numbers is not a smart thing to do just because there is X00,000 competition means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING the only thing that matters is SEO competition on google top ten the sooner you learn that the better off you will be |
