Just keep trying to build quality backlinks and increase your traffic while improving your site, and give it time. Real PR updates from Google don't come often.

Getting dofollow links from high PR pages will increase your site/page PR. However you wont see it until there is a PR update from Google.

Getting a PR for your site is actually not that hard. I have got pr from just blog and forum backlinks. I am using software tools and I usually do not check page pr, just blast away.

You can get pr with just simple backlinks blasts, but the most certain way to get pr is to acquire high pr backlinks. Just find blog pages that have pr(you can use SEO Spyglass for example) or when you have the money to invest then find a high pr homepage subscription and you will get the pr in some time.

Umm, do I need to search for a certain site,I mean site that have same niche as mine to make link building?

For getting PR.. you have to build quality high PR backlinks.. and specially generate backlinks from high pr forum posting sites. these are really helpful for getting PR for an website.

All you have to do so that you will be able to in top rank or high page ranking is to do backlinking to you site, it is mean that you will have to link your site to other website or blog so that it will back to your own website, you can also do backlinking by submitting lots of articles here ezinearticles.comit is the best way of backlinking to your site this is what I do right now, hope it's help to you.

Why do you need page rank? Is it just for your site or are you building satellite sites to link to your main one?

You should be more concerned with building a nice site with quality, unique, helpful content.

Through the course of your link building efforts and people naturally linking to your content the page rank might take care of itself anyway.

Relevancy, good quality content and pr/varied source backlinks should be your goal if you are trying to get better rankings which I'm sure you are.

I think to get PR is most effective method is link building if you have more backlinks then you can get high PR

Ok the main thing is first of all make a website from customers point of view not Google's point of view.

as far as pagerank is concerned, first of all do on page seo [It includes optimizing your images, content, keywords, title ].
For an increase in page rank, you should get do follow backlinks from Pages which already have HIGH pr.
If you post on a page with a HIGH pr, you will get some link juice from it.
Though Link juice depends on number of outbound links from that page and a few other things.
Gradually this link juice from many HIGH pr pages will help you in getting A good Page rank.

Getting a page rank takes time, It's not a 1-2week solution. I built a website early June 2011. Submitted it to a few low page ranked/statistics sites backlink sites. To tell you the truth, I have never concentrated much on "relevant" backlinks. If I want the high pr backlinks from blog comments, I do some research and try to get my link on any niche blog page that has pr.

It has worked for me in years. It will not hurt if you can find related blog pages to your keyword(s) for traffic purposes, but if your niche is a small one, then it will be big problem to find those high pr blog pages.

Keep in mind getting backlinks from pages with PR, not domains only.

If a blog is PR5, the most value will be passed to your site if you get a backlink from the homepage (i.e. the page with the actual PR).

Having more backlinks like this will get you a very good PR. Also as other warriors suggested, keep backlinking in all manners, and add some content from time to time just to be safe.

If your site already has good traffic and is sitiing on 1 spot of 1st page there is not much point going after PR unless you are planning to use it to link to your other sites...

Actually,I'm going to sell the site through flippa,I read a lot of ebook about site flipping. I need PR if I want to get sales on flippa.

Yeah, I have experienced it too, most people bidding on flippa are crazy about pr. Even if the site makes money and has long-term(at least 6 months of steady earnings) proof available, still sites with less earnings and higher pr are more popular

Only making backlink does not ensure PR. You need quality contents and different kind of SEO. Good strategy, Good keyword also!

PR does not come easy. The way I do it is to post quality REAL content (not spinned articles) on my blog, and always make sure it stays within the limits of Google's recommendations of quality content. Onsite SEO is very important.

Then post comments on other blogs (no PR, Low PR and high PR) linking back to my latest post.

I do NOT use an auto blog commenting software, I do all the comments myself and try to comment on blogs that are niche specific to mine (not always necessary).

I have a few commenting tips on my blog if anyone is interested to read them, they just might help you.
