Default effect of www in front when linking

Hi,

My website is ranking with some keywords but with some keywords showing result without www and some showing with www which url should be used to make links with www or without www

It depends on how you set it up when adding the site to your hosting account. In most cases it will be without the www however.

It's best to build links to either the www or the non-www because otherwise you may aswell be building links to 2 different domains which is diluting your efforts.

doesn't matter which one you choose, but make sure you choose 1!!!
Redirect/rewrite the other version so google indexes only one version.
This avoids having duplicate content and not benefiting from some links.

Hey,

Like others have said, you need to be consistent. When you type in your url for your site in a browser, whichever is displayed (with or without www) should be the one you use for building links.

Just keep consistency throughout your link building efforts - like Ben S said, you'll be diluting your efforts otherwise.

100% agreed you need to chose 1 version and start buildiong links pointing to that site.
