What is normal fluctuation with adsense?

I recently got into adsense niche sites, and am starting to rank pretty decently. A few weeks ago I was getting 40 uniques a day and the site brought in about 2-4 dollars a day with an average CTR.
This last two weeks I got a few bumps in rankings and now average 60 uniques a day, the CTR is about 1% less but the last 4 days have been .15, .00, .14, and .01 cents!

Is this normal fluctuation?

If you are still ranking I would say it is 1 of 2 things... either a Google dance or your your niches yearly fluctuation. For example, I have a few sites that make slim to no money most of the year and then BAM they will start pulling in $100-300/mo per site for a couple months and then go right back to making pretty much nothing again.

Well thanks guys for your answers. It is a bit disconcerting to slowly build up to a $5 day, only to have it go to .10 two weeks later

Like I said my kw rankings improved, my traffic nearly doubled, but my income declined.

I'm fairly certain it isn't a seasonal niche at all and don't get me wrong, I'm not about to quit or anything I'm just curious if its a normal phenomenon. Naturally I expect some fluctuation but didn't know it was this extreme!

its normal some day you will get 5$ AND SOMEDAY .5 CENT. you need to keep update your site with content so you will get more visitors.
