Letīs face this example: Google Keyword tool tells me that there are 100 exact searches for a particular keyword. How much of them are actually visiting the number one spot on the first page for that keyword? How much on the second spot? Third spot? etc. When I look at my own Google search behaviour, I donīt visit the last spots on the first page very often.. This would mean that these spots are useless to be at for searchers like me. I know it also depends on the difference between 100 and 10,000 exact searches for a keyword.. and people that are searching differently. So 100/30 is about 3 - 4 searches a day. Will websites on the fifth spot and further pick up any of them? I hope someone can tell me what the general statistics are. Thank you very much |

100 searches is pretty low to begin with. You'd need a 50% conversion rate to make a sale (get a click or similar). But the rule of thumbs is yeah - 40-50% for #1 spot.
