When doing SEO work for a new client. There are fairly knowledgeable about SEO, but they aren't currently using any real tools yes for seo reporting. I have the ability to take the initiative here and use whatever tools are ideal. My goal here is to provide them with a professional, graphical, easy to understand report that gives them the information that they need to know and be aware of. At the same time, I don't want to provide them with info that will cause them to be critical on me where they try to control what I do on a daily basis as an SEO Manager. I have looked at reporting tools like the one from SEOMoz, and a few others. I have seen the spyfu recon files, but that is a little too expensive for me. Here are my questions: What are the best reporting tools to use when providing clients with information? What information should be provided and what information is not necessary for the client to see? |

Have you taken a look at link-assistant.com yet? They have a WebSite Auditor that does a farely nice job of producing these type of reports. While they aren't the prettiest they do provide great detail and often more than any "client" will even know about it. Of course I do feel that they provide TOO much info, but regardless you could edit/modify the report how you see fit. |

Hey, Internet Business Promoter has a great reporting system but it is a bit costly. The reports can be adjusted with your company name etc. and are specifically designed for SEO clients. You can also edit the reports to add or remove sections etc. It's a really great tool in general. Hope that helps Thanks Eleanor |

Yes, the link-assistant.com SEO Powersuit as recommended above is excellent. You can generate and send out reports of all types here, whether it is the website auditor or the powerful new search engine rankings reports, everything can be scheduled and automated, which is important when running an SEO business. |
