Can I use the same description tag ?

Hello friends,

Can I use the same description tag for my other similar sites. If no please let me know the reason?

You can use the same discription tag if you want to but if it is not massive amount of work why not make them different. We know how the search engines and Google in particular love diversity and uniqueness.

The thing is deciding how much weight is put on the description and how much work it would be to make them all different. You could try to use an automatik title/meta generator.

Don't do this. Ideally, you should use unique description for differnt sites. If you use the same description then it will really look artificial to search engines.

No you should not use same meta description its not good practise and if you will do you will get duplicate meta description error in google webmaster tool.

Ideally, you have to use description tags which are related to your web page... In case you are using same description, you will get duplicate description tag error in Google Webmaster tools.

Moreover, Google will pick up a relevant snippet from the web page and dispaly it as description for your page.

Well its recommended to go for and use different title tags and description tags of all pages of your website in order to provide you a margin to target a huge bunch of keywords for your website, going for and using the same tags wont be harmful, but its not considered as a good activity.
