I have seen this before and it is a very good visual representation of the expenentional nature of PR. It also applies to the amount of work needed to moving a high competition keyword from position 10 to 1 if you reverse the numbers up the mountain.

Unfortunalty if it was quick and painless everybody would be PR10 and then the number would become usleless and mean nothing. Why can't I have a friend who works for Google who can change and is willing to risk his job to give my site PR 10!! |

I agree with the above statement. Page rank is just a metric to measure how well you can attract traffic. But if you are really good at optimizing and attracting traffic as it is now, why do you need page rank? |

Agreed - I have a shop site with page rank zero that makes me far much more money than some of my blogs with page rank 5

Exactly... PR has nothing to do with your SERPs, Traffic and/or earnings. But it does matter in evaluating a domain/page authority. |
