My hosting company has issue with my theme?

I have share hosting and my hosting company emailed me that my blog is consuming lots of CPU usage. I have installed WP - Max wordpress theme.
Any body plz tell me what's wrong with my theme and if this theme is creating some problem for the hosting, so I need any theme like the same features specially the categories on the top with drop down option.

plz share any theme which has these features most important is that categories on header with drop down option.

Well if your hosting company has promissed unlimited brandwidth then it should'nt be your issue. Ask them that I will consume my bandwodth and its your issue and you need to update your servers.

I'd check your theme doesn't have some kind of virus as this sounds strange to me. If you're looking for a good theme get themeforest's u-design. Very versatile and has the features you want.

Did the host say specifically that it was your theme? Sometimes a bad plugin can be the problem.

Whatever it is don't listen to the poster above as bandwidth has absolutely nothing to do with CPU usage which is not unlimited.

Could be a rouge plugin or hacked theme running cron jobs, that would certainly tax the server's CPUs and cause an issue. Ask them exactly what the problem is and try doing a fresh WP install with the default theme and no plugins just to see if it fixes the issue.

tell me one more thing plz, who I can check that my theme is virus affected??

second a theme with dropdown categories at header, I need this any body have seen any theme like this plz suggest me, I've search a lot but not found any thing interesting...

Use the default TwentyEleven theme that comes with core installation. It has everything you'll probably need.

If your hosting company is any good, they would at least tell you what processes are consuming the CPU and potentially whether it is your WP site or something else.

Bandwidth and server CPU use are two distinctly different items.

I am well familiar with the Max wordpress theme you are talking about, it is really a nice hosting friendly swift theme, i don't think your hosting company should have any issue with your theme, i am also using this theme on my several blogs, my hosting company never complained me regarding any issue related to this theme, so i will advise you to change your hosting company.

As far as themes with the dropdown capabilities; there are hundreds out there.

I've stuck mostly with Elegant Themes. Lots of great capabilities there. WooThemes is another good one. Those are both paid theme developers -- there are tons of free ones if you look on Wordpress.org. Try to look at screenshots or demos to see if they do what you want them to.
