Default SEO really does like to kick a man when his down.

I followed everyones advice about how to do SEO.

I had great info. I had low competition. In most cases I was the only web page to have a full article of information. The competition where just shopping sites. I bolded my keywords and I submitted to them all over article directories. Many many auto blogs would syndicate my content and give me backlinks.

Yet my inner pages barely ranked well.

So why was I only getting 300 page views a day from 700 articles?

I use to make $650 a month, these days after panda I make around $200.

These days I'm lucky to get 100 page views thanks to panda. (thats anther story)

What to do? Seems like a waste to not to take advantage of all this content I bought.

So whats the real secret to ranking inner pages?

I was looking forward to making $1000 a month and then I was hit by Google

I thought I was doing everything right too, but several of my sites started the google dance, when I thought they would pass as they had at first. Also add or delete a paragraph and poof, gone off first page, but those are working their way back.

I found this wso for case studies that are working post panda helpful. I don't recommend things too often, but found out my articles and especially the index page length needs to be longer now. And there were a couple other aha moments as to what is working now.

Keep in mind, this was compiled from several people all trying to get to first page for a keyword and this report tells what worked.

Hi Ernie,

It seems one of the recent Google updates increased the decay factor for link juice. So if you are targeting all of your backlinks at your homepage that means your internal pages will not rank as well as they did before. The solution is to build deep link backlinks.

The best way to look at SEO is to consider each and every page of your website as a separate individual page that needs to be optimized and promoted interdependent of all other pages on your website. It has always been the best approach, it is just more necessary now since that update.

And don't forget to optimize your internal link structure for thorough cross-linking of all of your internal pages.

I started building websites after the Panda happened. It seems like a lot of people lost income afterwards. That would be real depressing. I wonder if Google has anything else planned soon.

They always have something like this planned in my experience.

Silo buddy, silo!

It's not unusual to get double/triple SERP listings per keyword with some hardcore internal linking of related pages.

It seems today that you have to do a good on page seo. Good content a low bounce rate and your visitors need to stay on your site as long as possible. This way google thinks your site is of interest for your visitors.

I think you should add videos and/or audios on your sites to keep the attention of your visitors. And add some good content on a regular basis.

And of course quality backlinks to your main domain and of course your inner pages.

This should help.

Mirko

Hi Daniel,

I fail to see how that would achieve anything positive. What is your reasoning for removing already indexed content that is contributing to your page authority?

I don't understand that advice either Not only are you removing content/links that are helping your page authority, you're also removing any chance of getting those articles syndicated - meaning they'll have virtually no chance of ever getting re-published on other sites, building you higher-quality links, and getting your name/link in front of targeted traffic.
