Default Ok I will try this one more time, regarding settting up Clickbump

This is about Clickbump theme settings , plugin activation etc

I thought I had posted this before but maybe not, its not the same questions in another clickbump theme I had so.
I tried posting on the clickbump forum? thats a dead forum my other question there got zero replies in 5 days. I sent a PM to Clickbump guy on this forum, I know its way past noon where he is but still no reply, maybe he is busy today

Ok
i bought
1. the Seo Plugin
2. c4 theme
3. Jumpstart Pro (I think thats the name of it)
4. Silo Theme (Xfactored 2.0)

I have never used Clickbump on any site yet so and I want to start with using the Silo Theme (Xfactored 2.0) and the SEO plugin

Do I?
1. activate the clickbump SEO plugin
2. enable the xfactored Theme?

and then I am ready to go?
the c4 is just another theme? so just ignore that?

Thanks for any advice

Oh and also
Regarding the Xfactored Theme (silo theme)

Have any of you used this theme?
Are there any tricks or tips to using it
\
I want to test this theme and putting a bunch of Silo type posts on another domain that I really dont care about about BEFORE
I put it on my money site
I dont want to be putting up all these sloppy posts the wrong way, and then have to go back and redo it, I dont think Google would like that

I don't use CB, but wouldn't it be easier to keep all the CB setup threads contained into a single thread?

Just saying...

Actually, this would probably be a better place for them...

ClickBump Forums
I posted a question 5 days ago on the clickbump forum

5 days later it had zero replies and 7 views

that forum is not that busy, to put it mildly

I would have figured that as many forum members here who use Clickbump this would be an easy question to answer

Clickbump users?

Yukon, yes you are right
however the clickbump thread you are referring to , 99 percent of the forum users have seen that thread, and either replied/not replied to it
and IMO will ignore that thread pretty much,
Perhaps this thread will get attention

I am actually surprised the Clickbump guy, has not answered the question all day, that I sent him in a PM, thats unusual for him

I guess one main question I have is what goes where

1. Jumpstart pro is a plugin right? so that goes in plugins
2. Clickbump SEO is a plugin also right?

what about Ce4?
Is that a theme? or a plugin?

Hi Outwest,

Here's what I do with Clickbump:

I install Jumpstart Pro as a plugin then activate it. It automatically installs CE4 and creates your standard pages like contact, about, privacy, disclaimer.

I then configure the site's CB settings inside CE4 which is accessible via WP's settings menu. That's where you install the xfactored theme you have, not in the WP theme installation area.

Then I install Clickbump SEO! as a plugin and configure it through the WP settings menu.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Cheers,

Loloy

Hi thanks I must be doing something wrong
When I install Jumpstart Pro, I do not see CE4 installed
so I installed it manually via FTP
then that worked and I saw the theme called Clickbump 5 In my themes

I watched a tutorial video saying install Jumpstart Pro (which I did as a plugin Via FTP ) was that not the correct way? perhaps that is what is messing it up

If you have CE5 on your site now, I think you're good to go.

You just have to install Cluckbump SEO! as a plugin now and activate it.

Hi Clickbump 5 shows on the site now and it does show a nice slider theme on the site which it was not doing before

However I manually installed Xfactor2.0 and activated that theme instead
or changed it to that, I should say

when I do that,
and click on my site,
absolutely nothing shows on the site, no theme, just a white page
odd

thats basically the trouble I have had all along I can get the ce4 theme(s) to show up with the slider etc

but the SILO xfactored themes, when I upload them nothing happens when they are activated

Just in case its a firefox issue I reloaded the site in Explorer
still a blank white page with the xfactored themes on it

the Clickbump SEO plugin has nothing to do with site layout or design. It doesn't change any site content. You use the clickbump SEO plugin to vet your pages and make sure they are maximized for SEO effectiveness. Basically it is a real time seo check list. When you decide to activate it shouldn't matter.

that one I have no problem with
just the SILO theme xfactored 2.0 getting that to even do anything

I sent a pm to Scott on his Clickbump forum, he already pm'd me back here and said to pm him there
I think he is sleeping now. Oh well lot of work and tinkering to get that clickbump to work but
thats what happened the first time I messed with wordpress too
took me forever to figure that out, now its a cake walk

Hi Outwest, didn't we get this sorted out already? Just checking to be sure.

Just in case anyone else is reading this and may need help with the "Theme" vs "Template" concept:

A "template" cannot be installed as a "Theme". There is only one theme, that's ClickBump 5. Each "template" (XFactor 2.0, Adsensed, CTR-Plus, etc) is installed from within the theme via "Add/Upgrade Templates" button.

Also, the theme link on the left hand sidebar in WordPress admin is now labeled "ClickBump 5" and no longer "CE4" as it was prior to the version 5 upgrade. If you see references to "CE4" in posts and videos, just know that its interchangeable with "ClickBump 5" or "C5"
