New to Seo

Hi all
I am new to this forum and new to SEO as well. That is why I need your PRO’s advice:

Since about 4 month I have a WP.com blog, hosted under my domainNO-EMD.biz /crossing-africa/ , crossing Africa is my main KW. Content is travel blog, like a diary, with images. I optimized, at least tried to, for this KW with help of All in one SEO and Yoast SEO. I optimized the main page for this KW but not the single blog posts, they are optimized for different KWs.

Q1: Do I have to optimize the single post for my main KW as well? I did not use it in the content. The KW is low competition broad 2400 global searches, exact 46, phrase 140. Yesterday I ranked 155 in google com, today 127 (maybe because I moved the KW in a more prominent position (1) in Title, description, and KW tags. I have PR 0. I used KW in title 2x, in description 2x and varied it in KW tags. (All in One). It did not use it in the single posts. I have Adsense and River affiliates on my posts, usually one per post.

The first search results in com are:
1. KW in Url:1x Title:1x Des:1x PR1 PageIndexed 147 Backlinks 0
2. KW in Url:1x Title:0x Des:1x PR0 PI:147 BL:0
3. KW in Url:No Title:1x Des:1x PR10 PI:13 Mio BL:34900
4. KW in Url:No Title:1x Des:0x PR4 PI:126 BL:38
5. Guardian Site
6. You tube
7. You tube
8. KW in Url:No Title:1x Des:1x PR3 PI:717 BL:12
9. answers yahoo
10. CNN My data: KW in Url:No, only in folder /KW/ Title:2x Des:2x PR0 PI:285 BL:0

Q2: What could I do to get into the first 5?

Backlinks: What is strange that a toolbar in G says I have BL 0, but analytics says I have BL 5 from hubpages, profilelinks and other domains I do not know why I got this.

Q3: Which source is more reliable?

Q4: I have submitted a sitemap in G Webmastertools. How long does it take until G re-ranks it?

Q5: How is PR built. Is it a formula between PI and BL?

Hope you can give me hints.

BTW: It is difficult to get into warriorforum, is it server side or is my internet connection (at the moment in Africa over WIFI) to weak?
