First let me share with you a fact.

some think that Google give more attention to EDU and GOV sites and backlinks, it's mistake

Google give more value to high authority sites, and naturally EDU and GOV site have high authority. but there are always COM and NET site with better authority and higher PR.

Thank you for your sharing and I can add that if you will do use that footprint in a harvest program will increase the number of the result link, but do not forget to test them
