Hello ![]() I had a question about SEO - I've heard it said that Google likes when you have regularly updated content on your site's homepage (as this keeps them coming back to 're-spider' your site, which in turn - helps with ranking for your keywords) However - say for some reason I choose not to post my blog updates to the homepage, but rather - to its own 'blog' page/tab. Would this hurt my SEO advantages in any way? Would Google spider my Blog page the same as it does the Homepage, or does the Homepage get spidered more regardless? Thank you for your thoughts! |

It is a good practice to have a link to each page of your blog from homepage. Google spider can then find each page easier. You can also just display your sitemap on a sidebar, it helps on-page SEO. |

I do have links to my other pages, my tabs are as follows Home, About, Blog, Products Would this then suffice, or should I still consider having my content updated on both the homepage AND the blog page? Thanks again! |

As long as you have backlinks to the homepage from your blog you should be fine. Have you thought about having a small area on your site in which you have the latest blog post linked to and a snippet used? That way you get the best of both worlds, having your homepage content regularly refreshed as a result of your blog posts. |
