Default competition research help

So I'm trying to do a little research on what I need to do to rank above these two companies below in my market.

I did a search for "jacksonville pavers"

tropicalpaversjax(dot)com comes up in the #1 spot
enhancecompanies(dot)com comes up 2nd

I did some seo quake stuff and looked at the backlinks in spyglass. Everything tells me that enhance should be #1.

Can someone be so kind as to take 5 minutes and give me an explanation as to why you think tropicalpavers comes up #1?? I'm a little confused. What am I missing?

Thank you warriors!

I can see this is a low competitive keyword.
There are insignificant differences in the link profile between the two sites.

But tropicalpaversjax has the keyword in the title. And that can make the difference when you are making comparison in the low competition territory.

This keyword is such low competition its not funny.

You could rank for this keyword in a matter of 48 hours.

Whats the search volume like?

Ramone,

Search volume as entered says 880/month local
Exact is 28 and phrase is 36

Just looking for a few extra job installation leads per month but some searches could be looking for materials rather than needing the work done

Thanks

When there is little between the two, just acquire a few extra, decent links and you'll be good to go.

Well 28 searches a month is 28 searches a month.

If a client is worth a few thousand to you, then its probably worthwhile

Thanks for the advice and comments everyone!

So I plan to add my keywords to my title and get some good backlinks with keywords in my anchor text matching my title. My site is more of a corporate portfolio type so not a lot of text to add keywords to.

The only thing I worry about is all the different variations that people use in Jacksonville to search. For example, driveway pavers, patio pavers, brick pavers, etc. Should I use Jacksonville in the title of every page with those different keywords as well?

Thanks

Would you outline your strategy for me? I'm curious how to do this in 48 hours

haha...naive of me. Thanks for the heads up.

Above, Daniel mentioned getting an exact match domain. So what f I can get a hold of an exact match domain for my keywords and I already have a website.

How do I take advantage of that? Redirect to the new domain or build up links to the new domain first?

Thanks,
Doug

keyword is - jacksonville pavers
as tropicalpaversjax is on top- reason is nothing - only domain age and content.
This site is not much good- Only 5 backlinks-
No meta tags -- good.?
Even this- enhancecompanies is better than tropical - because its have more backlinks as well more seo friendly.

I really dont know - how you consider this Tropical website -(only keyword ranked top)
But its can be dropped down easily because this site is not seo friendly.
Its easy to give rank other site on your keyword whatever its new domain
- Content must be Good
- On page factors must be good
- Good backlinking methods must be used.

This is because Tropical site have very less score in seo view. and its can be beatable easily.

thanks

That is what confused me.....How could tropical be on top of enhance? Enhance has more content, older domain, and more links????
