Arrow Big Insurance Sites drop from SERPS

Hi warriors,

I have an auto insurance site and in this morning i check it this in search and i have a surprise - is on page 2.

It seems that Google has removed most major insurance sites than on the first page at least for the keyword auto insurance quotes

Please check and tell me what do you think. Is it from Panda or "cooperative" does not work?!

When I searched I see all the major players consumers would expect, like State Farm, Allstate, etc.

Several tips can be stated in here and although we do not exactly know what has been the real reason, but general points can be helpful to read of. The matter of web authority seems to be very important, especially in hot financial niches like the one you have already chosen. You have done a nice job picking a keyword rich domain which in the long term will help you having better links and gaining positions which simply are related to the terms present in the address.

If your website has been online for less than a year, even sudden big ranking drops would make sense because yours is yet to cope with some very big portals which have been operating online for several years, some of them since the year two thousand and apparently, even through using the best link building procedures, some patience would be required. Try finding some hot spots which contain links about your niche like directories and get your site listed on the pages.

You may have a look in your traffic and webmaster tools to see if you notice any change. Check you backlinks if they are still there, see if loose index pages....
From outside is hard to make a review of what happen

I get all the big players, 21st, progressive, statefarm, nationwide,
allstate, esurance. etc. They don't care about keywords in a
domain, obviously. 2nd page, I get more: safeco, travelers,
liberty mutual, etc.

Why would they not be there? They all own the niche. Period.

Maybe you are getting skewed results from other intangibles.

Google does change their algo every 12 hours, or more often, but
not for that. Guaranteed not for that. Oh sure, some others cannot
help but slip in. But the others will always be there.

Your page is not on the top 3 pages for me. Did not look further.

Paul
