Default 3rd party tracking for adwords

Hi guys,

I am helping a client get traffic to his site. However, the google adwords conversion codes somehow just cannot be inserted properly by the client's tech team. We have been trying resolve this issue for many days.

I just wanted to know what kind of third party tracking systems we could use if we do not have control of the final registration page? We just have the links for all these pages. Is it possible through any third party software to track conversions on keywords & placement levels that appear on adwords?

If you have conversion code and analytics code in place then you can easily understand user behavior.

Let me know the problem you are facing and try to sort it out. Have you gone through the adwords help or even submit your issue with adwords contact page. Their executive will get in touch with you in 24 hours.

Hope this helps.
Thank you so much for your reply cadmo.

The problem is we do not have direct access to the landing page. We just run adwords for our clients. We have been trying to install the codes for a long time but nothing seems to be working.

The final registration page is a PHP page. I did look up adwords help & found that generally the code is placed right above the </body> tag then it should be fine. It states that the code must be in the static HTML part of the page to trigger the conversion. The code was placed above the </body> tag but it still did not work.

This is why we were looking for alternative options to track but it will only be useful if we are able to track the keywords & placements which are converting. Is this possible with a third-party tracking software?

I have not submitted the issue to adwords contact yet mainly because we do not have control of the landing page or the final registration page.

Your help is much appreciated!

your client should have access to the land / registration pages or at least they should have if its a third party, a person that can access the land page even if this is an affiliate manager.

to check that it has been installed properly, go to the destination / conversion page and then right click on the page and select view source code, once you have done that select the search option and enter google and the code should be visible within the body tags, if it is your fine, if not try and install it again.

Thanks Pete,

The client does have access to the thank you page/landing page. The thank you page is common for all publishers so we don't have access to it. We did fill out the forms & check the source code of the thank you page & the right code was pasted in between the body tags. The conversions are still not showing in Google
