Regional market seo question

Dear Warriors, I have a plan to target the following keywords for my market in Ghana:

1. Hp Laptop (Exact. 720 monthly search)
2. online shopping (Exact. 140 monthly search)

These keywords are very competitive globally buy low on the local search.

My question is should I add country name to each keyword i.e "Hp Laptop Ghana" or should l use the exact "Hp Laptop"?

If I use just "Hp Laptop" for my backlinks to rank high in SERP will a search in google.com.gh for just "Hp laptop" return my website in the result if i am ranking high?

I have already defined my sites region in google webmaster tools area.

I am sorry for this weak question but I am still reading and learning.

please your advice is needed.

1. True. But as it is my site is a .com and many of my competitors are .com.

2. Well although there are companies claiming to be local host, I suspect that many of their servers are in the US anyway. It is cheaper and easier to manage that way.

in anycase, my site is hosted int he US and we have a .com extension. for some keyword combinations we have come up to page 1. My taget is a consistent #1 -3 for most of the keywords I have lined up.

Any other ideas?

Ok. Maybe I should clarify this problem.

My site is .com hosted in the US. My target country is Ghana.

What will be the down side if i add country name to all my target keywords (anchored) during backlink building? ie my target keyword is: "Online shopping" but I feel that to appear in searches for "online shopping" in Ghana I will have to add Country name to the keywords ie "Online shopping Ghana".

So will the the presence of country name hurt our ranking for a specific search for "Online shopping" in google.com.gh for instance?

we ahve done other things that I have explained earlier and sites meta is optimized for country name too.
