The one month experiment with Comment Luv is over. Nothing but massive spam. Not one intelligent comment. You would think that over the course of a month with 100's of visitors leaving comments at least one of them would be smart enough to actually leave a comment related to the article so they could take advantage of the FREE Dofollow link with targeted keywords. Sadly in this case you would be wrong. People who think Spam comments will help them or worse think this is actually marketing seem to be in the 99%. Idiots. No person who has a legitimate useful blog is going to approve those comments. Well... goodbye CommentLuv... nice idea. I've seen it work for some, but I don't have time to log in and delete tons of spam all day. Rant over. |

unfortunately this is true and its why i dont bother much with manual comment posting, simply because the webmasters have to much sh*t to sort through to find my relevant comment

I haven't had any problems with CommentLuv in the past. I can't say that using it has increased my levels of spam. I don't tend to use it on my blogs though because it seems to confuse people that aren't into backlinking or marketing. My sites are mainly non-IM related and people wonder what the symbol with the tick box is for. I have heard some people showing a lot of luv for Comment Love though - some people really rave about it so I assume it's working well for some. |

Don't you think nearly all the spam was generated by scrapebox, though, and not real human visitors? fLufF -- |

you are probably right with this one... but it happens with many similar services or products, especially in IM niche... people see some opportunity and then instead of using it smart, they try to force their "success" with spam and scam... at the end, everyone are on the losing end... sadly, but in most cases that is how things work in this industry... therefore, everyone should be careful with each similar offer or service...

Thanks for the information you have provided me. you are right. but it happens with many similar services or products, especially in IM niche... people should use it in a smart manner and as the time passes never comes back again so just forget it.

I would bet that most of the SPAM comes from programs like Comment Kahuna, one of its options specifically targets CommentLuv blogs...

I disagree. I've been using commentluv with my newest blog (the one in my sig) and it's helped to produce comments and conversation. Akismet does all the work getting rid of spam. |

Every once in a while there will be a published list of CommentLuv sites. They then get bombed back into nofollow status. There are simply too many spammers willing to destroy anything in their path. The 3 plugins I use with WordPress to automatically handle virtually all spam: Akismet Bad Behavior Nospam NX - this is a must have plugin. . |

Failed due to internet marketers that don't know how to do things realistically :P And of course programs like ScrapeBox... what a waste. |

Na man, you have to install and activate CommentLuv first. Then once you have it set up and working, you reactivate Akismet. All of the CommentLuv perks, none of the spam. |

It is quite amazing to me sometimes what some people are willing to do to destroy other people's work so they can gain an advantage for themselves. I just wrote a guest post and the blog has comment luv enabled, and it seems to be working pretty well. Good targeted comments with links back to the sites. I am sorry for your experience with CL, I hope your site does better now. |

Personally, I found that the premium version of CommentLuv handled spam comments a lot better than the free version did. Were you using the free one?

I haven't had any problems with it. I use both commentluv and keyword luv and get plenty of relevant comments. Sounds like you have bot troubles. |
