Clever to have SEO satellites with teaser articles from your blog??

Hey all,

so far i made good experiences with posting teasers to my blog articles on facebook. Like for example publish the first paragraph and a "read the rest on my blog"-kind of link.

Now a fellow marketer suggested to push my authority blog further for specific keys by registering some exact match domains and setting up some satellite blogs. He said i could populate them with these same treasers and in this way funnel the traffic to my main blog AND push my positions for certain keywords.

I am a bit sceptical though. Wouldn't Google consider this to be duplicate content??

My main articles are really well edited and offer a lot of insight for the reader on the topic, and i don't want to endanger my reputation.
He also told me to beginn to automatically blast links to these satellites instead of the main blog. I only did manual promotion for my blog to date.

Any advice/opinion is appreciated, guys! Thanks.

Hi valli.

It’s quite simple really. To rank higher, your site needs incoming links from many different sources. And we’re not talking about garbage blog comments or forum spam. you are right. It depends on good content.

The problem of duplicate content in Google is severe. I got back to my buddy and he told me that i should learn about the function of CANONICAL tag in SEO - just for your reference.
