Default Onpage SEO H1 Tag??

First of all I want to say hello to the forum here and look forward connecting with the community.

My question is this on onpage SEO

I know we should have h1 h2 and h3 tag in our blog posts. But Is the title already an H1 right? And is it "bad" to have 2 H1 tags?

Thanks in advance

The title tag is different from H tags. H tags are from H1 to H6. And the most important is H1 tag, which have more impact and influence on your blog.

Thanks Nino, but when I check the Html I see that my title says this <H1>My Title with keyword<H1> so that should count as a H1 Tag right?

Yes that counts.

Some themes put the "Website" title as a H1 tag.
That might be ok for the homepage, but for article pages you want the Article title to have the H1 tag.

There's no "google penalty" for having 2 H1 tags, but if virtually all you content was made up of H1 tags, that would probably have a negative affect.

You can have two H1 tags but if you are concerned then just have one H1 tag and one H2 tag then resize the H2 tag with css.

Your website should have only one H1 tag needed per page. If you have more than one H1 tag on a page, change the other H1 tags to an H2 or H3.

Best practice is to use one H1 tag on the site so it is a good idea to make sure that you don't have the logo or something else also is a H1 tag.

I just put the h1 at the beginning of the page, and the /h1 at the end of the page.

It is not bad to have header tags, true the title is in the h1 tag so you can use the h2 tag for sub titles and that will really help. You can use this to add more keywords to the content of the page.

You can use multiple headings on the page if I'm not wrong

Yes the title tag is already a <h1> tag so you do not need to add it again.
