Just Not Earning

Hello all, im looking for a bit of advice. I have a job website here in the uk and rank very high for 3 keywords which bring in about 10,000 visitors per month. I have not been there too long.

My competitor is at the top and charges £95 per job listing. I came in at £29.99 just to test the water. Competitor by the looks of things is getting around 10 job adverts per day, yep big money.... i am getting 0 job adverts per day.

I try and make the site look busy by adding jobs from other sites, and have a few hundred on the site. like to keep it updated.

What am i doing wrong?

is it a case of making a name for myself which could take a few years...

it would be very nice if we could able to see the site for a review....

But when you sell services or products online... the sales copy matters !

If your sales copy doesn't convert,try to make it more attractive !

I am into job business too. We offer about 1000+ Jobs to Students every month.

Since the competition is growing we have to see how/what/when... you know the details.

SEO, AdWords, the whole stuff.........

Need a look at the site to have an idea of what might help (a look at your competitor might be good also

What type of traffic are you getting? Are you getting people who are just looking for jobs or do you also get traffic from those who would be looking to pay to post jobs?

It is hard to say without seeing your website & the competitions. However; I can say that posting duplicate content isn't the best SEO move you are making.

If anything you are helping the competition. Someone who paid to post on another website & you are offering their post for free to everyone... that someone is gonna think that the competitions website brought them results. Whoops!

I am so often surprised at people that do not treat their Internet business like a... business.

Have you considered going out to local headhunters and offering them a monthly discount package or even 1 month free unlimited posts in exchange for a testimonial.

Or here is a thought, have you considered tracking the competitions posters & contacting them with an offer? I am sure there are ton's of companies that post regularly.

I dont feel comfortable posting up my site, the last thing i want is another competitor.

I have in the past sent out emails to recruitment companies offering free job listings, but this has had no joy.

The people who are visiting my site are mainly pepole looking for jobs, keywords like advertise a job is very low monthly searches.
