Adsense value in SEO

When you are dealing with competitive words, does it make sense to promote your site with adsense? In other words, does bringing in traffic through ads help you in the long run with organic traffic? Of course there is the hope that people that visited your site through the ad will tell their friends or bookmark it, but does the actual traffic benefit you in googles eyes?

You mean running ppc advertisement using adwords ( not adsense) ? Directly no SEO benefit . But there is an indirect benefit . With PPC you can test which keywords you are right for you . With the result you can pay focus to right keywords. With PPC you will get immediate attentions from buyers . Many people will learn about your sites.

If your products are good they may review them on their blogs which will result in some organic links which will help you in SEO
