It takes some time before they show up, so give it some time. Also make sure to put AdSense code in the right place ( HTML box ).

Is there a way that i can have my adsense ads next to my text (sort of next to the 1st paragraph of the document. if anyone could give an example of this i would really appreciate this.

you can use a plugin called why do work adsense. if your using wordpress.

I like a very simple plugin called New Adman.

If you want your ads to appear on top of each post simply navigate to the plugin options and enter this:

<div style="float: left;">
[ADSENSE CODE]
</div>

That's it. You can also make it float right, add padding if u want, etc. Good luck.

It took a couple of days for my adsense ad to finally show up.

You don't necessarily need the plug in to do this. In your HTML, type it above the text that you want to wrap it in.

Also, these margins seem to fit better in my opinion....

Perhaps your site/page is not indexed yet..As much as i know adsense ads will not appear in a page that not indexed yet..
